Eric, Tim, Walter, and I went to Gloucester, Massachusetts this weekend to attend a celebration of Nick and Solita's recent wedding.
On Friday, Eric and I flew into Boston just in time for lunch. I haven't really liked Boston in the past - it's always cloudy and I think I just haven't been the right parts of the city. And when Eric told me that we were meeting up with people who wanted to go to a bar to watch the Sox/Yankees game on Friday evening, my response was, "That's what I hate about Boston!"
But, this was a different kind of Boston.
We hung out in North End and had a delicious lunch of oysters and champagne at Neptune Oyster Bar. Then we sat down for dessert and coffee at Mike's Pastry Shop. When the boys finally sat down for pizza and baseball, I snuck away for a manicure and a pedicure in the neighborhood. We drove to Gloucester that night. On Saturday, we started out at the local coffee shop then explored the Rocky Neck Art Colony. There we found a waterfront bar with delicious bloody marys before heading to The Lobster Pool in Rockport for lunch (YUM!!).
We explored a few shops along Gloucester's Main Street before heading back to the Inn to celebrate with Nick and Solita.
The rest of the photos are here: Boston Gloucester Trip.
I've added lots of new wedding photos. Well, the photos aren't new, but they are new to this site. I'll be adding more over the next few days, but this is a start.
